In a world overrun by image and speed in our signature retreats we are focusing on slowing down your pace and listen to the African silence and your inner rhythm and health.
Here at Sandwerf we have over the past two years carefully created a concept of professional guided wellness and healing retreats for you. Our four different signature retreats cater for visitors to Namibia as arrival haven as well as a full retreat destination on its own.
It is time to slow down and practice awareness, time to use your hands and not let the electronic world determine the rhythm of your day or stage of mind.

In our unique retreats we incorporate our strong points and natural beauty of our environment. Our program offers wellness spa treatments, pilates and zumba dance classes, mindfulness sessions with our animals, weaving lessons and awareness and nutrition guidance with cooking and eating healthy straight of our land.

Our 'welcome retreat' is our most popular tourism retreat where we offer an alternative destination for your first or last two nights in our beautiful Namibia. Situated only 80km from Hosea Kutako International airport this is a beautiful alternative to start or end your adventurous journey in Namibia.
Spend the first 3 days of your holidays in the relaxing atmosphere of Sandwerf, unwind and give your soul the time to truly arrive in Namibia, in a peaceful and nurturing environment, before embarking onto your great journey! Or spoil yourself with a peaceful farewell to this special country and spend your last 2 nights in Namibia with us; Let all your adventures sink in and treat your body and soul in a tranquil environment before enjoying a scenic road with our private shuttle to Windhoek international Airport.
This package includes a private airport shuttle from the airport to Sandwerf on arrival and a shuttle to Namibias capitol Windhoek to your departure point for your tour operator or rental car company. (or the other way around as departure package.)

This retreat can be perfectly customized to small groups of private workshops, leadership or company retreats as well.
It also is our most popular retreat to share with partner, mother, daughter, grandmother or best friend to spoil your loved one and to find quality time to connect, truly spend time, catch up and make beautiful and profound memories of sharing the beauty of slow and mindful living together. This by far is our favorite retreat. Our signature full re-set retreat. Time to fully absorb, inhale and live all the beauty our place has to offer.
This package is an opportunity to become part of Sandwerf's heart-beat, family and community and to truly share lifestories around the fire. Some unique highlights only available in this retreat are a mindful encounter with the horse herd in the open field, a luxury sleep over in the wild in JD's signature safari camp as well as the opportunity to weave your own carpet alongside our charismatic weavers from the local community. Another highlight is the opportunity to enjoy carefully designed bareback riding session with our calm and strong draft horses where it is all about feeling the strength and unique presence of these amazing animals. Eat healthy, stay fit and active with our pilates & vumba dance sessions and enjoy our full repertoire of our organic spa treatments.
The beauty of this retreat is again that there is no fixed schedule and we adjust your sessions to your individual needs and time.
